Cerro Castor

The best snow in South America!
Our high season Ski Week. From June 29th to October 15th.

Cerro Castor is located 26 km from the city of Ushuaia, Argentina, on Route 3, Km. 26, and is easily accessible as the road is fully paved. It is the most exclusive ski resort in Argentina. As the southernmost ski resort in the world, it possesses characteristics that make it unique and different. Skiing at Cerro Castor means enjoying the best quality snow, thanks to the mountain’s orientation (south-facing slope) and its extreme location (54° latitude, similar to Moscow in the Northern Hemisphere).

Its infrastructure is consistent across the board and offers exceptional comfort for visitors. It features an artificial snowmaking system (18 Technoalpine snow cannons) that provides extensive coverage from the mid-level to the base, guaranteeing snow all the way down to the base throughout the season. The ski resort boasts new, state-of-the-art machinery, and all necessary maintenance is performed before and after each season by expert Cerro Castor staff.

Cerro Castor is a naturally exotic destination. It’s where the sea and the mountains meet to create a unique landscape, blanketed in white during the winter.
